The work

  • Creatively help design, prepare, shoot, and edit short-lived video projects for multiple brands and departments under the umbrella of SHE Media.
  • Work with talent on the set and in the field. Work with and without a producer on the set.
  • Manage internal studio maintenance and production equipment / material.
  • Work closely with the Vice President of the Video and Video team to coordinate production, post-production and editing deadlines.
  • Work closely with the pre-production team to achieve video goals.
  • Strong understanding of exporting, transcoding and converting video files.
  • Adapt to direction and pre-production notes quickly and efficiently.
  • Familiarize yourself with SHE Media’s video publishing and analysis platforms.
  • Assist in the ideation of branded video content.
  • Create social media videos for all SHE Media properties: SheKnows.com, Stylecaster; BlogShe, etc.
  • Assist in the pre-production, production and post-production process for branded content.

The small print

  • Strong shooter with experience in studio lighting as well as documentary style filming in the field.
  • 3-5 years of shooting / editing experience with a relevant reel to present.
  • Very creative and skilled in storytelling through video.
  • Skilled at producing videos on social networks; short 1-minute snacking videos.
  • Experience stop motion shooting, color correction, audio balancing, working with music, timing and rhythm.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of production equipment (including audio) and skills in the use of cameras.
  • Experience creating how-to videos and branding videos.
  • Knowledge of YouTube platform management and SEO optimization.
  • Must be able to multitask and work under strict deadlines.
  • Manage the production budget and equipment.
  • Help write scripts and create production plans and call sheets.
  • Field products, which may include performing maintenance, gripping work, transporting equipment, coordinating accessories.
  • Expert in Adobe Premiere and mastery of Adobe After Effects.
  • Ability to collaborate creatively with other members of the video team.
